The 2021 Planet Earth Edition of our science festival featured presenters working in diverse fields from across the sciences, arts, and cultural sectors. 36 events and activities, mostly virtual synchronous, some asynchronous opportunities, and even some in-person synchronous opportunities, were shared with us! These included thought-provoking conversations with climate activists, engaging presentations by farmers, science educators, and local government officials; in-person nature walks, food waste and composting demonstrations, and foraging and ecology workshops.

We had participants and speakers join us from all over the map from California to Costa Rica and everywhere in between. Well over 1,600 attendees participated in 21 of the virtual synchronous events for which we have data. We thank all of our organizers, speakers, and attendees for making our first virtual edition of the annual Science on State Street festival a huge success!
