Planetarium schedule

Planetarium live shows and full-dome films are free but tickets are required. Tickets will be available in-person 30 minutes prior to showtimes. 6 ticket maximum per group.

The Sun

LIVE SHOW: Journey through the Solar System

Explore each planet in our solar system in detail, learn about the unique features of the inner rocky worlds, and discover the beauty of the outer giant planets.

Runtime: 30 minutes

 
Earth's Moon

1:00PM:
LIVE SHOW: Exploring Earth’s Moon

Take a deep dive to look at the Moon, learn about the Apollo and Artemis missions, and see the recent Artemis II photographs with immense clarity on our dome, while discussing the science of what they did on their mission.

Runtime: 30 minutes

FULL-DOME FILM: In Saturn’s Rings

Fly through lavishly arranged visuals as we visit distant galaxies, tour the planets of the inner Solar System, Jupiter, its moons, and - of course - Saturn's rings.

Runtime: 23 minutes

 
Whirlpool Galaxy

2:45 PM:
LIVE SHOW: A Galactic Odyssey

Embark on a journey to explore the gravitational giants in our Local Group, from the small dwarf galaxies to the large spiral galaxies in our cosmic neighborhood. This is a preview of an upcoming live planetarium show for summer 2026.

Runtime: 20 minutes

 

Please note: Food and/or drinks with an exception of water are not allowed in McAuliffe Center spaces. Strollers are not allowed inside the Planetarium.

All festival locations are wheelchair accessible.

Rain or Shine! In case of bad weather all exhibits will move indoors.
