Join us for our Earth Week keynote conversation between Dr. Ayana Elizabeth Johnson (Founder of Urban Ocean Lab & Co-Founder of the All We Can Save Project) and Dr. Mia White (Assistant Professor of Environmental Studies in the Environmental Studies Program at the Schools of Public Engagement at The New School). Both are working on creative ways to build community and solidarity in the climate space and this will surely be a thought provoking conversation on how we can continue fighting for a transition towards a world that values climate and environmental justice.
About the Presenters:
Dr. Ayana Elizabeth Johnson is a marine biologist, policy expert, writer, and Brooklyn native. She is founder of Urban Ocean Lab, a think tank for the future of coastal cities, and co-founder of The All We Can Save Project, a non-profit to support women climate leaders. Her mission is to build community around climate solutions. Find her @ayanaeliza.
Mia Charlene White is Assistant Professor of Environmental Studies in the Environmental Studies Program at the Schools of Public Engagement, with a co-teaching appointment at the Milano School of Policy, Management, and Environment. She is a faculty-affiliate of the Tishman Environment and Design Center, as well as with the Heilbroner Center for Capitalism Studies.
