Celebrate the launch of the Nancy Grace Roman Telescope with this special community event featuring fulldome film ‘Phantom of the Universe’ in the FSU Planetarium.
Phantom of the Universe
From the journey of protons racing through the world’s largest particle collider in Europe to up-close views of the Big Bang and emergent cosmos, Phantom of the Universe is a fulldome planetarium show designed to immerse audiences in the search for dark matter. Beautiful visualizations and concise narration shed light upon a major open question in our study of the Universe.

Ages 5 and under = FREE

Program length is 1 hour. Walk-ins welcome, dependent on availability.
All tickets are open seating. Doors open 30 minutes to showtime.

Food/drink and strollers are not allowed in the Planetarium.
The McAuliffe Center is located at the rear of O’Connor Hall on the campus of Framingham State University. Enter the McAuliffe Center through O’Connor Parking Lot.
Parking:
All vehicles parked on the FSU campus for this program require a valid FSU Parking Pass or the vehicle is subject to a parking ticket and tow at the owner’s expense. About one week before the event, you will receive a parking pass and an FSU campus map with parking information.
*If you purchased a ticket and did not receive a parking pass, please stop by the McAuliffe Center BEFORE you park your car to obtain a parking pass and additional parking information.
Massachusetts STEM Week 2026 will take place from October 19 – 23, and is a statewide collaborative effort organized by the Executive Office of Education and the STEM Advisory Council in partnership with the state’s nine Regional STEM Networks, like MetroWest STEM Education Network (managed by the McAuliffe Center), which plan and coordinate activities with local school communities, community leaders, and business partners.
