During Massachusetts STEM Week 2024

With a combination of satellite imagery and computer models used by climate scientists, we explore the disturbed natural systems that regulate our warming planet. Visit a beautiful arctic island and witness the real changes human activity has inflicted upon its glaciers. The consequences of rising sea levels are vividly depicted with animations of our cities submerging.

Recommended for: Families and all ages. Parent/guardian supervision suggested.

Food/drink and strollers are not allowed in the Planetarium.

The McAuliffe Center is located at the rear of O’Connor Hall on the campus of Framingham State University.

Parking is available in the Salem End Lot and unmarked spaces in McCarthy Center lot. Once parked, follow Framingham State University’s signs and the McAuliffe Center’s yard signs to the McAuliffe Center. Interactive Campus Map.

 
 

Massachusetts STEM Week 2024 will take place from October 21 – 25, and is a statewide collaborative effort organized by the Executive Office of Education and the STEM Advisory Council in partnership with the state’s nine Regional STEM Networks, like MetroWest STEM Education Network (managed by the McAuliffe Center), which plan and coordinate activities with local school communities, community leaders, and business partners.
