Kathleen young
Producer, NHPBS
Kathleen Young is the Senior Multimedia Producer at New Hampshire PBS and produced and edited CHRISTA, a new documentary about Christa McAuliffe. Young felt a deep responsibility to honor Christa’s memory and tell her story with the respect it deserves. She spent months working in local archives and interviewing those who knew Christa. The project wasn’t just about telling Christa’s story—it was about honoring her legacy as a champion for teachers and a trailblazer for women. Young's professional history includes New Hampshire Public Television, the Museum of Science, and the Oyster River Cooperative School District. Young's educational background is in video production and film studies education. Kathleen holds a MA in Visual Arts from Emerson College.
