Summer Public Planetarium Program:

BIG ASTRONOMY

Join us for summer public planetarium programs! Programs feature live presentations of current astronomy topics paired with various planetarium films. Program runtime is 60-75 minutes.

Tickets are required. All programs are open seating.


PLANETARIUM Film: Big Astronomy

Take a journey through observatories used by professional astronomers in the gorgeous mountains of Chile, one of the best astronomical observing locations on Earth. Our planetarium is transformed into a giant observatory dome as astronomers investigate the Solar System and the distant observable Universe. Visit with the technicians from an array of STEM disciplines who build, maintain, and operate these huge instruments.

PRICING:
Ages 5 and under = FREE
Ages 6-12 = $5
Ages 13+ = $10

FSU students with a valid ID = FREE

Program Length: 60-75 minutes

IMPORTANT INFORMATION

Food/drink and strollers are not allowed in the Planetarium.

The McAuliffe Center is located at the rear of O’Connor Hall on the campus of Framingham State University. Enter the McAuliffe Center through O’Connor Parking Lot.

Parking:
All vehicles parked on the FSU campus for this program require a valid FSU Parking Pass or the vehicle is subject to a parking ticket and tow at the owner’s expense. About one week before the event, you will receive a parking pass and an FSU campus map with parking information. Valid guest parking lots will be listed on your parking pass.

*If you purchased a ticket and did not receive a parking pass, please stop by the McAuliffe Center BEFORE you park your car to obtain a parking pass and additional parking information.
